Remembering my spectacular trip to Piedmont in Italy!
I was lucky enough to recently spend six days in the Piemonte region of Italy, one of the most picturesque wine regions I’ve ever been to. Think endless rolling hills covered in vineyards with hilltop villages scattered from view to view and you’re starting to get the picture. It’s a magical place with spell binding wines to match. It was hard to leave!

We had the pleasure of visiting the towns of Alba and Bra last December as part of our Turin trip. Unfortunately the weather was terribly foggy everyday, and we couldn’t really see any of the marvelous countryside from the train. I have only recently discovered this region, and I definitely need to return when the weather is more amenable. I can vouch for the wines though, we had some great tastings everywhere we went. Thanks for the guide, it will gives us some good ideas when we return 🙂

Stunning picture… wife’s been trying to get me to Italy for a long time. I could be persuaded with views (and wines) like that!

Is it true that there’s a new thought in Piemonte to produce younger style Barolo – aged for just about 3 to 4 years ? Nice write up.

Sounds great and how can you not love Piedmont. Nice to see familiar wine blogger faces in the pics too. I visited Fratelli Revello years ago and the owners were great along with the wines
