It’s Friday – you deserve a knock off drink! If you’re looking for some fail safe wine recommendations, look no further. One of the top attributes with having the best job in the world is getting to taste lots of top-notch wine. So each Friday moving forward, Conrad and I will be showcasing our favourite wines from the previous week. And because wine reviews are excruciatingly boring to read – our reviews are all picture-driven! This week I returned from Tasmania – gee they’re producing some good stuff down there. Fell in love with this Savvy on my whirlwind tour of Tasmania's east coast – lots of passionfruit flavours. It's from @DevilsCornerwine, which is owned by @BrownBrothers and has released some excellent value wines for this part of the world. It also has one of the coolest cellar doors – the view is breathtaking – so too are the oysters! The Old Money! It's "soil grown" "single vineyards" "relatively small batch" "hand crafted (in theory)" proper #Coonawarra #Cabernet. The back label is as equally entertaining as the front. During my recent trip, I was super impressed with the Pinot Noir coming out of @holmoak in the Tamar Valley, Tasmania. You've gotta check these guys' cellar door out, especially their pet pig, which is actually called, Pinot! Probably the best winery dog in Australia. @debortoliwines Gulf Station has had a makeover and it's looking very smart. This Yarra Valley Pinot offers great value for money. Silky smooth and lashing of cherry flavours.
