Loved receiving this lot from @raidisestate out of #Coonawarra! In with the #wine were three of their own mouth watering pairing recipes along with produce out of their garden. We'll be having a cookup with a couple of the wines and friends but I couldn't wait to pop open the 2015 Kelpie #sauvignonblanc, which was a cracker! Last night I watched a spectacular storm roll over Sydney harbour from one of my favourite restaurants, @catalinarosebay. What made the moment so perfect was this delicious rose from @chateaulagordonne in Cote de Provence. Tim Adams Wines has been producing some really decent stuff of late. And this Pinot Gris is right up there with them. Clare Valley is mostly noted for its Shiraz and Riesling, but Pinot Gris is definitely starting to shine. Post: #drew #winewankers #timadams #clarevalley #vino #wine

I love everything about Yarnbomb. For anyone who knows McLaren Vale winemaker Corrina Wright @corrinaattaranga, she optimises everything this wine stands for. "Yarnbomb: to apply traditional home skills mixed with a hearty dose of anarchy to transform commonplace items into works of art." This is a fabulous well priced Shiraz and I chose to pair it with a Bolognese made with just a little bit of anarchy! Why aren't more people in #Australia doing #carmenere? Cracked open this beauty for #winewednesday by Humis Vineyard, a new mob out of #Heathcote, and it's an absolute stunner. Beautiful herbal aromas suck your nose deep into the glass and then it's sip sip sip from the start until the last bit of flavour disappears from your mouth, somewhere down the track, then in you go again. A magical 7 year old #marsanne from the masters of the variety, @tahbilkwinery. Today we matched it with the foods of @rockpoolgroup Bar&Grill in #Sydney. @Qantas also announced it would start selling food from Australia's top #boutique providores via its #EpiQure website. All foods coming from #Australia's top #wine regions. It's great to support the little guys who are pumping out unique #produce, and showcasing it to the #world.

A classic dry white from the Margaret River was a perfect with this seafood linguine when I was celebrating my mums birthday yesterday! I hope you can try California wines, too. I live just a few miles from Napa Valley where most of California wines come from.

I live in wine country in beautiful British Columbia. The Okanagan valley. Last night my husband and I enjoyed a 2013 Black Hills Note Bene. 🙂

A bottle by the fire with hubby and friends: Mas de Gourgonnier Les Baux-de-Provence.

Later in the week: Famille Perrin Reserve Côtes du Rhône Rouge. Both bottles were a comfort from the cold & make the evenings sparkle.

I love my friend, wine.

I enjoyed a spectacular Virginia wine 2012 Granite Heights Humility! Excellent blend of estate grown Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Barbera and Petit Verdot! It was divine!

I live in Saudi Arabia where there is no wine so this is like torture!! But it’s a useful torture – I now have a list of wines to try when I head home in a few weeks! By the way, I love your Blog

  You can make your own and some compounds do have permission for small amounts, mine doesn’t though. The Westerners head over to Bahrain at the weekend, that’s how we manage 🙂

Thanks for the Malbec recommendation. I had my first about a year ago, and loved it. However, I find that I’m more picky with which Malbec than other wines. Have a fabulous Friday. Hugs!

A regular visitor and lover of Margaret river whites I stumbled upon an unassuming winery called Brygon. Wow, the delicious vibrant characteristics that the region so well known for….plus a whole lot more!! ! And Peter the CD manager knows his wines. Do yourselves a favour guys…call in for some tastings…it’s right next door to the Colonial. Chin-chin!!
