The Wine Wankers 
Here is my list of wines:
~There is a local winery called Wyandotte which has a semi-dry, “Gewurtztraminer.”
~ I like an Italian red wine bottled by “Banfi” which has Rossi di Montalcino. ~ There is a basic and low cost Shira made by “Layer Cake” vintage 2008, made in South Australia.
I sometimes buy Lake Erie vineyard wines. I live in Ohio, U.S. and used to live along the lake.

I had a magnificent Farmers Daughter 2012 Merlot and a Gooree Park 2009 Cab Sav. Both these wines were very enjoyable and were typical of the quality of red wine Mudgee is producing

A heap of good and great wines this week. Standouts include
1996 Garry Crittenden i Riserva Nebbiolo Barbera – what an extraordinary and mature wine going gently into decline. Would hold up well against Barolo/Barbaresco
2009 Seppelts Drumborg Riesling – even at seven years old still a very young wine – tastes remarkably like a chablis, no tertiary development at all
Algueira Cortezada 12 – Godello, Albarino and Treixadura – so fresh, mineraly, orchard fruit, a delight to drink
Plenty of others, particularly champagne but I am procrasti-posting as have study to do.

I tasted the first release of the Chalmers Project this week in Melbourne. The Nero d’Avola Project with one example from Mildura and three from Heathcote, was fantastic, as was the bottle of the Linnaea Vineyards Napa Cab Sav which kicked off the weekend 😊

I’m all about Argentina at the moment(I’m in Buenos Aires) and to be honest, I’ve had soooo many good wines I don’t know if I can pick the best!

I watch (stalk) you across so many social media and am very jealous of your adventures. A pity we didn’t cross paths when we were both in Piemonte (or Italy) around the same time last year.

The village wines here in Crete are often very good. Sadly, the red wine from our landlord that we drank during the week was very so-so!

I had some great wines in Crete last year when I visited. There’s a real focus on their wine at the moment.

Kiwi Cuvee Chardonnay, source of some wine drama a few years ago- it is pretty cheap and I enjoyed it.

I found a bottle of the Clark Estate Block 8 Riesling 2012 in my wine rack on Saturday night. Stunning rizz from Marlborough. I didn’t expect much from it to be honest but it is a great drop. I hope I find another one in my rack!

It was vintage Champagne for me to celebrate the wedding anniversary: 2007 Larmandier bernier vieilles vigne du levant grand cru extra brut champagne blanc de blanc! Mind-blowingly good with the sheep’s milk cheese we enjoyed!
