Coonawarra Cabernet matched with roasted duck pie, served at 30.000 feet and the pastry was still deliciously flaky. So impressed! It's been 10 years since I last tasted the @petalumawine Coonawarra Cabernet. It's still a textbook example of why Coonawarra does this varietal justice; ripe casis, cigar box and great palate length. We're at the seriously NOW restaurant, @luckybeenyc in New York's lower east side. This little enclave of Australia in the Big Apple is doing everything right when it comes to Thai food. Chef Matty is ex @longrainrestaurant and the tight wine list is Asian food friendly. Tonight we're drinking this Muscadet from France. I loved this Central Otago Pinot from @twopaddocks (owned by actor Sam Neill), but what I loved even more was the spectacular surroundings where I drank it. Perched 47 floors above Sydney's CBD, @obardining sports unrivalled panoramic views. This place is geared to a drinks crowd. While I now call Sweden home, it's good to be back in Sydney and this view definitely reminded me why this is the best city in the world! I was recently in New York and dined at a modern French bistro, downing this good value #chardonnay from California with succulent scallops. It’s 5 a.m. on Friday here in the Mohawk Valley and I’m getting ready for work. My mood is improved, however, at the thought of a crisp, refreshing white I hope to have at the end of the day. Rock on!
