It's called a #Syrah and not a #Shiraz. That's got fancy all over it yeah? Well Piebald kinda means black and white and this drop from Mr Riggs uses the blackest Syrah grapes blended with a little bit of the most intense white #Viognier grapes to create a fragrant and intense #wine with hints of chilli #chocolate and licorice infused black forest #cake. Marchand and Burke is a unique collaboration between top WA producer, jeff bunch from @howardparkwines and top Burgundy producer, Pascal Marchand. Their wines are truly spectacular, lending the expertise from both great minds. Yes it's a steep price to pay for a Chardonnay, but wow, the excitement in your mouth is incredible. What's more, the WA version from Porongurup is almost 1/5 the price of it's Burgundy sibling, so I guess it's actually great VALUE! Other wine writing pals have even recently anointed this as Australia's best Chardonnay! An absolute classic! The Mount Pleasant Maurice O'Shea Hunter Valley Shiraz from 2007. What a pleasure it was to savour this #wine! A superb example of an early drinking Sancerre – hunt this 2015 #DomaineVacheron wine down. 2015 was a warmer year in the Loire Valley, so the wines are bigger in flavour and probably won’t age as well – but damn they are delicous right now.
